The minute my hands touch a “blob” of clay I feel a euphoria come over me. I rarely have an idea in mind when I start.
The clay talks to me, to my soul, it simply becomes a creation on its own, using my hands to become what it was meant to be.
It’s why I love to hand-build with clay, I enjoy making things that people can use, lights, platters, vessels, etc. however, most times my clay is filled with whimsical silly animals and creatures just begging to be set free.
Hearing someone say “I have no idea what to do with this but I love it.“ Is the most amazing feeling in the world!
