Teaching and learning the visual arts in an actual studio environment can help both teacher and student feel more “at home” with the creative process.
Our classes are small enough for the instructor to afford the time to each student, to answer questions, to give helpful techniques and hints, and for the students to learn from each other.
While we want everyone to discover things for themselves- at their own pace, we also don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable or to be floundering in learning something new.

You will find that we are very passionate about encouraging the creative thinking skills of our students and their self-expression as we explore a variety of media, techniques, and works of well-known artists and designers. We also practice class discussion of our ideas and group critiques to enhance the students’ thought processes.
Students will discover and develop their artistic skills as they use their original creative ideas to create drawings, paintings, and mixed media assemblages.
These important aspects and techniques of an artist will be developed when the students are given multiple learning opportunities to explore various art forms and subject matter.
We offer small group classes (a maximum of 10 students per class with a teacher assistant), to further enhance the learning experience of our students. See Less
